My unfortunate situation - Actuarial Outpost

Hey everybody. I am a fifth year statistics major with a computer science certificate at a prestigious college and I was planning on becoming a statistician, but now I'm looking into the actuarial field.

For a multitude of reasons, I am probably only going to graduate with a 2.4ish cumulative GPA, but a major GPA (statistics) around 3.4. If I do well on the preliminary exams do you think I have any chance at becoming an actuary? I've looked on Indeed.com and it looks like most internships require a 3.0 cumulative GPA minimum, but there are a few that seem as though they just want people who are intent on passing at least one exam. Are there any companies that don't require transcripts?

I am willing to obtain unpaid internships. I am willing to network, although I'm not sure how yet... My school has an excellent business college with frequent job fairs, but I've never heard of one specifically for actuaries. Should I just go to the Risk Management and Insurance job fairs?

Can anybody tell me what my chances of becoming an actuary?

If there's any hope for me, I hope you guys will give me all the advice possible.
